Evidence Collection and Analysis

A solid approach to evidence collection and analysis is critical to the audit process. But with new approaches and technologies, this has become more complicated than ever. In this newly updated course, participants will learn how to approach big data and data analytics, sampling, text analytics, and more.

Participants will acquire and apply the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain sufficient, appropriate audit evidence and analyze evidence to support audit findings. They will understand how to:

  • design an evidence collection strategy
  • make professional judgments on sufficiency and appropriateness of evidence
  • apply the three evidence collection techniques
  • apply sampling and population analysis in an audit
  • apply common quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques
  • prepare reports that align with evidence.

This course is intended for auditors who want to hone their skills in applying evidence collection techniques and in evaluating audit evidence.
